Jomtien stretches south from the Pratumnak headland along a long, straight beach. It is noticeably calmer than Central Pattaya, popular with families and long-stay visitors, and has a settled feel along Jomtien Second Road.
Rental shops here serve a lot of weekly and monthly customers, so Jomtien is a good area to ask about longer-term rates. The roads are more forgiving than the centre, which makes it an easier place to get used to a scooter.
Jomtien Beach Road runs the length of the beach and is a flat, easy ride. The coast road over the Pratumnak headland is the link between Jomtien and Central Pattaya.
